Family

We come from closely knit families. Growing up, we spent a lot of time with our immediate and extended family members. Both being the eldest of siblings very close in age, we have many experiences which have resulted in strong bonds. Although we currently live in different states or countries, each week we communicate with our families and throughout the year we travel to see them no matter where they are.

Commitment to family is one of our core values and all are excited to welcome a new addition with whom we can share our love and lives.

 Spending Time with Grandparents

"Grammy! Grammy! Alex's shrills of joy echoed throughout the house as he and Elle's mom made silly faces at each other. The smell of banana-walnut pancakes, scrambled eggs and grape juice fresh off the vines wafted through the country kitchen air. Metal spoons banging, clanging and clashing against metal pots and pans sounded like an accident waiting to happen.

Upon our frantic arrival at the kitchen door, Elle's mom shushed us away. They were having a great time. Although our grandparents are no longer here, we honor their memories and the lessons learned from them will stay with us forever.

Outdoors activities

Raging waves on a Class 4 white water rafting trip, 5 or 100-mile bike tours through unspoiled country, piercing shrieks as we dive snow tubing down the mountains up to 14 mph, and quiet moments strolling in the park or watching the sun set behind purple majestic mountains.

Our best memories come from time we spend in nature alone and as a family. Like when Elle’s sister and boyfriend tipped over in their kayak or when our border collie discovered a skunk. Phew! We love being outside so much that rain or shine, we gear up and head out!

Christmas Traditions

Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas is You" blasts on the Bluetooth speaker. It's the song Elle and her sister dance to each Christmas and today Alex bounces to it on his trampoline. Joe puts up the six-foot tall Fraser Fir Christmas trees. Smells of pine cones and cookies in the oven mean it's that time of year again.  Among our many traditions, our favorite ones are related to the year-end holidays -- Advent calendars, Rockettes, Gingerbread houses, and neighborhood festivities. If not together in person, we celebrate via a world-wide Christmas family Zoom call which is tons of fun!
